Earlier this wedding season, we had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous wedding at The Hacienda in Santa Ana, California. If you’re not familiar with The Hacienda, it’s this beautiful venue located in Orange County. Everything is very nicely laid out and convenient which makes the planning for our brides and grooms so much more smooth. Sometimes venues may lay things out where one area is being used and then being flipped to be used again right after which puts us in a pickle trying to do photos around that. However, at the Hacienda, everything is spread out nicely so while we’re doing a first look, or wedding party photos, your guests can be seated at cocktail hour or at the ceremony site.
After we photographed the beautiful ceremony, we took them right outside of The Hacienda for some portraits. Another plus of where it’s located is that there is very little traffic, so while we’re photographing them walking, standing, etc, we don’t have to worry about cars driving by and stopping the flow. We were able to shoot with our couple as much as we needed up until they had to join their guests for the reception.
