Engagement photos at Walt Disney Concert Hall
Earlier this month we had the pleasure of photographing Genesis and Omar in downtown Los Angeles for their engagement session. We went through a few options as far as locations and we landed on Walt Disney Concert Hall. We were considering other locations in the downtown area, such as the arts district, Griffith observatory, as well as others a bit further away but Walt Disney Concert Hall just had everything that we needed. I met Omar through Instagram, and after messaging back and forth we felt like we were friends chatting. That’s always the best because by the time their engagement session came, it was so easy to get the flow going. It also didn’t hurt that Genesis and Omar look great together! And their engagement outfits were perfect!
The Broad Museum For Engagement Photos
A really great part about shooting in downtown LA is that there are so many good locations all within a very short radius. After shooting at WDCH for a bit we ventured off (just a block lol) and used the Broad Museum as the backdrop for their engagement photos. It’s such a striking building and once night falls we can really manipulate the colors as you can see below. Here are a few reasons why we choose this time of the day to shoot engagement sessions:

Engagement Photo Locations in Los Angeles
One thing that is great about Los Angeles is that there is no shortage of good locations for engagement sessions. No matter where you are, there’s something cool, iconic, interesting, and unique. Some locations are just visually cool, some you’ve probably seen in movies, and others are just unique because maybe that’s where you’ve been before with your fiance’. No matter what the reason for choosing the location, having the right photographer to capture it will make a huge difference. As you saw above, we went from daylight, to sunset, to evening, manipulating lighting as we went along. It’s such a fun and rewarding process and we were extremely grateful to Genesis and Omar for allowing us to capture these special moments for them.
