Corona Del Mar Engagement Photos | Steph and Andrew
We met up with Steph and Andrew in Newport Beach for their engagement photos. When I spoke with Steph and Andrew they had told me they wanted to do two locations for their session so I wanted to offer them something that looked different from one to the next. We landed on a trail engagement session for the first half and a beach engagement session for the second. Once we decided on the date we check the sunset times and we were good to go!
When Steph and Andrew showed up, you could tell they did their homework. Outfits looked perfect for the scene and they looked great together. We first warmed with the standard posing and as they got more comfortable we mixed it up a little. One thing we wanted to do for Steph and Andrew was give them unique photos from other sessions we’ve done here. Doing shoot-through’s (shooting through trees/objects) added to their engagement session. Once we felt like we had enough at Vista Ridge Park, we headed down to the beach.
At the beach there were a lot of people so our goal became “how do we make it look like there’s no one or a very little amount of people here?”. Luckily we were able to achieve that by using different lens combinations and lighting techniques. We were super happy with what we got and Steph and Andrew were even game to get wet so we could do the wave shot at the end. Thank you Steph and Andrew for letting us capture you in your journey together!
