Engagement Portraits
We met up with Lesly and Kenric in Long Beach for their engagement session. We chose late afternoon for good reason. In this video we explained why booking your engagement session in the afternoon is a good idea:
Lesly and I had spoken that she wanted to do two locations. So to give some variation we started in Naples, which is a smaller portion of Long Beach that is super quaint and has beautiful backdrops. We selected a certain bridge as our meeting point and Kenric showed up early with flowers for Lesly (smooth man!). Once Lesly arrived we began their engagement session around the Naples area, capturing the atmosphere. It was a beautiful afternoon and Lesly and Kenric brought their great personalities which made time time fly by! Soon enough after learning the basic posing they got very comfortable and we were able to get some great portraits of them there!
Shoreline Aquatic Park
After shooting in Naples for some time we decided as our second location to be Shoreline Aquatic Park down the street in Long Beach. We chose this because it was a very different scene and the backgrounds would be completely different. Not only that, by it being later in the day, their engagement photos would have a more dramatic and colorful look. Which was awesome because Lesly chose this beautiful red dress to contrast the blue at dusk (good job Lesly!). We had such a great time with you guys and can not wait for you wedding day!
