Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park Maternity Photos | Yarizet and Carlos
We met up with Yari and Carlos for their maternity session in Coto De Caza in Southern California on a beautiful afternoon. We wanted to do their maternity photos near sunset because as you guys know that is the best time to shoot. We actually posted a video on the best time of the day to shoot along with a few other tips. This was for engagement sessions but the same rules apply:
As soon as we got to our shooting location (we got there a little early); we started looking around for good spots for them. The reason we chose to shoot at Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park was because we stopped there on their wedding day for photos. Photographer side note: you do need a permit to shoot at this location along with a ton of parks in OC. It’s very easy to obtain if you follow the link below:
http://www.ocparks.com/rnp/permits/filming – Just make sure you follow the instructions. If you need help, feel free to reach out.
When Yari and Carlos arrived we could tell how psyched they were. Carlos pretty much jumped out of the car and we gave him a big hug, same with Yari. That’s one thing we love about this couple; after doing their engagement, wedding, and a few of their friends and family’s weddings we genuinely feel like they are our family too. So seeing Yari with a baby bump, seeing how excited Carlos was for their baby made me genuinely happy.
After shooting in the are where we did their wedding photos we decided to explore a little bit more so we walked into the trail. We were very fortunate and had a beautiful sunset so we place Yari and Carlos at the top of this hill with our assistant Jesus holding the flash. That way we were able to get the colors of the sunset as well as having our couple nice and bright. Yari and Carlos; we are so happy for you and we can’t wait to meet your little guy!
