We met up with Michelle And Brett before their old Orange County Courthouse weddings in Santa Ana, CA. It was a beautiful warm sunny California day, as usual, not a cloud in the sky. One thing that we love about the Old Orange County Courthouse Weddings is how classic the building is.Also how beautiful the surrounding area is. Downtown Santa Ana has so many great areas to shoot. So when we spoke with Michelle, we spoke about doing some of the photos at City Hall. And then heading down to downtown to do a secondary location. At other city hall weddings we sometimes do a beach as a second option. With the Old Orange County Courthouse, there are so many nice brick type backgrounds that it’s not worth the drive out to the beach. It’s close by and it matches the scenery of Old Orange County Courthouse too.

With the Santa Ana courthouse, at least at the moment, the state does not allow us to enter during the ceremony. However, we always do photos before the ceremony, after the ceremony, and then afterwards we do a little bit more outside. There is just so much beauty to this courthouse that we could pretty much shoot all day. However, we try to be respectful to other couples and other wedding photographers. We were able to do a nice little session here with Michele And Brett, before heading over to the downtown area.

We we have a ton of experience with City Hall weddings. We know that 2020 threw a few curveballs and a lot of our couples were having to modify their original plans. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a beautiful day and beautiful photos to hold onto for the rest of your life. Michelle and Brett, thank you for having us!
